We were very fortunate that Nicki Matthews, Conservation Officer with Dublin City Council, was available to give a tour of the Georgian Townhouse to IAF members and Irish Landmarkers. Nicki had worked with us on the property during its restoration, so she was an excellent person to talk about the property.
She referenced the fact that when Irish Landmark Trust initially took over the property, in some places there were up to seven different types of wallpaper found on the walls. Pictured here is a member of the tour examining some of the old wallpaper. We decided to frame some fragments as an interesting decorative feature for the walls.
