World Book Day

The Lighthouse Keeper's LunchThis World Book Day (today, 3rd March) Blackhead Lighthouse will be hosting a reading event for local school children with writer Ronda Armitage.

Ronda Armitage was born in New Zealand and now lives in Sussex. She is the prize-winning author of many picture books for children, including the well-loved Lighthouse Keeper series of modern children’s classics, which tell of the adventures of Mr. and Mrs. Grinling and their marmalade cat, Hamish.

Most of Ronda’s books are illustrated by her husband, David, who is an artist. She was a primary school teacher for several years, and is a trained counsellor, specialising in family therapy.
