We are delighted to be part of the Dublin Horse Show 2015 (5-9 August). If you’ve never been, it’s great fun and an experience worth having. If you’ve been before, well come again! We’ll have a stand there where you can find out all about Irish Landmark Trust and avail of some 20% discount vouchers for holidays in our properties. We’ll also be giving a weekend away! Do drop by and say hello.
Along with the equestrian focus, the Dublin Horse Show is also somewhere you can avail of a variety of refreshments. Bubbly and strawberries anyone? There will be over 300 trade stands selling fashion, art and antiques. There will also be products specifically for people working with or interested in horses. The variety is sure to appeal to a wide range of tastes. The RDS Craft and Student Art Awards Exhibition also runs throughout the Horse Show. This is an opportunity to examine new work from these creatives.
Ladies’ Day takes place on Thursday 6th August. This a great excuse to get dressed up and have a day out. The ‘Dundrum Town Centre Best Dressed Lady’ will receive a prize package worth up to 10,000 euro. Other prizes include ‘Great Lengths Most Creative Hat’, ‘HP Most Colourful Outfit’, ‘Longines Elegance is an Attitude’ and ‘Louis Copeland Best Dressed Man.’
Of course if you’re looking for accommodation in Dublin for the Horse Show period, just a reminder that we have two city centre based properties. Merrion Mews (sleeps 6) and the Georgian Townhouse (sleeps 7). Both properties are based in Dublin 2.
Finally, if you’re interested in the history of the Horse Show, there’s an overview available from the website.
