Our “Irish Landmarker” programme actively encourages anyone who likes what we do, enjoys our buildings or has a love for conservation, to help us continue our work by giving to the Irish Landmark Trust via direct debit, on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis. This regular support provides us with a steady and reliable income that gives us the confidence to take on often daunting challenges. There are 3 levels of contribution:
The more support we get from our Irish Landmarkers and private donors, the more we can do to help our community of guests enjoy some truly distinctive buildings of Ireland.
Every time you stay in an Irish Landmark property, you are helping to sustain our built heritage and we believe it’s important to share this architectural legacy with the wider community. But the costs of conservation, fit out and ongoing maintenance normally exceed the revenue we earn from holiday rentals. We’re lucky that our charitable status allows us to do this, but it also means that we depend on donations and support so we can continue our work.
Funding for each restoration project comes from private donors, government support (when available), and the continuing support of our community of Irish Landmarkers. Every donation is precious and we ensure that we use our funds very carefully to give the best, sustainable future for these buildings. Check out our property pages to see some ‘before and after’ photos.
By becoming an Irish Landmarker, you are also in with a chance of winning a “weekend for two.” Each month in 2015, there will be a draw for one lucky Irish Landmarker to win a weekend for two in one of our properties. One good turn deserves another!
